Health Guarantee Policies

Health Guarantee
Chicago Sugar Gliders pledges a 7-day health guarantee for all sugar glider adoptions. All joey's are given the best possible care and will come to you healthy and happy. Joey's are eligible for adoption when they are at least 8 weeks Out Of Pouch (OOP). We reserve the right to delay adoption longer than 8 weeks if we feel the joey's are not ready to leave their parents and our care. During the adoption process, we will provide you with extensive information on the proper care of your pet, and you may contact us at anytime with any questions that arise throughout the life of your sugar glider. You may also consult our website for information.
Waiting
You may be given the opportunity to be on a waiting list to adopt certain joey's. When the joey's are available for adoption, you will be contacted on a first-come first-served basis.
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable. A deposit of 40% of the total price will be required to hold a joey until it is weaned and ready to be adopted. If a buyer backs out of a sale at anytime, the buyer will forfeit the deposit. The only exception to this rule is if the buyer decides to buy a different joey from Chicago Sugar Gliders.
Adoption price must be paid in full at the time of pickup or at least
1 week prior to shipping.
If paying the balance on the day of pickup, payment must be made in cash or by certified check. Personal checks are accepted only if paying in full 10 days prior to pick up.
Shipment
We at Chicago Sugar Gliders ship our joey(s) to all states, except
where prohibited (AK, CA, GA, HI, NYC and PA) at buyers cost.
We use Continental airlines, same day arrival.
The cost as of September 2008 is $200.00 ( Flat Rate ). This includes transportation for your new joey to the airport, traveling pouch, shipping crate, and guarantee of a healthy and safe joey. Please contact us for the most recent costs before you purchase!
Liability
If unfortunately a joey passes away within 7 days of adoption, a full refund or credit will be issued only after a the cause of death is determined by a licensed, qualified veterinarian and shown to be the fault of CSG After the initial 7-day period, Chicago Sugar Gliders is
no longer responsible for the health of the sugar glider.
We will not be liable for accidental injuries, improper diet and
nutrition, improper handling, and inadequate living conditions
in the customer's care.
The sugar gliders are non-refundable and non-returnable for
any reason other than health-related issues.
